Airdrie Mayor’s Recreation For Life Run and Walk 2011 is set for Sunday, June 5th, 2011

This year’s events include the Tot’s Toddle races, 1km fun run and walk, 5km run and walk, and 10km run.  This fun filled family day will once again have a festival atmosphere.

Entry fees are as follows, Individual: 1km, 5km or 10km is $40 before April 15th, 2011, $45 after April 15th, 2011; Youth: 1km, 5km or 10km: $20 before April 15th, 2011, $25 after April 15th, 2011; Family of 4 (max 2 adults):  $75 before April 15th, 2011, $85 after April 15th, 2011; extra family members under 17yrs old are: $10 a person. All proceeds from this event will go to Phase III of Genesis Place with the new twin arenas. Chair of the Airdrie Mayor’s Run Society, Jodie Matsuba-Szucs, is expecting even greater participation this year and therefore all of the events will be capped. We encourage all to register early to avoid disappointment.

We are pleased to once again have this event sanctioned by Athletics Alberta and part of the Run Alberta Series and will use Results Canada D-tag electronic timing system for the 5km and 10km. 1km will be manually timed.

There will be many door prizes to be won by any registered participant, awards for top finishers in age categories for each event.
